I have two lavender orpingtons from the same hatch day. Almost 4 weeks old. One is feathering much slower than the other and is about half the size. Do I have a pullet and cockerel?

I got two LOs too, we lost one and the other is very small and feathering slow. I read about "retard feathering" in the breed which I'm sure mine has. It says it corrects itself by 8 weeks. We hope ours is a roo too! Good luck they are adorable

Mine are now 8.5 weeks and we do have one of each! The slow feathering, smaller one in the older post is my Roo! Here is a picture from today. You can really see the difference!

Omg they are so cute! Yay for one of each! I hope that means mine is a roo too but we will be happy either way. Here is our little guy next to our EE hatched the same day at 3 weeks soo tiny! But so feisty lol
