My mother in law is a landscaper and recently fertilizer our lawn with a 25-5-15 pellet fertilizer. We have not let our chickens free range since then as we didn’t want them ingesting the pellets. However, after 4 days we still see pellets on the lawn. Initially though after rainfall and sprinklers it would be gone in a few days. Wondering if anyone else has treated their lawn and how long did they have to wait before releasing the flock again? The girls are going stir crazy.

If you can see the pellets so can they and they will likely try to eat them. I personally wouldn't take the chance. I'm not sure of the effect it would have but I suspect ingesting chemicals like that wouldn't be good. Maybe give them some more things to do to keep them busy in their run if they have one. I don't know how long it would take the pellets to dissolve. If it's a delayed release variety, it could be a bit.
