I've been following this thread for a while now and just wanted to let you know you have a lot of thoughts and prayers coming from CT. You are incredibly awesome for spending all this time and money on your neighbor's rooster. Kubota is so lucky to have you. I'll continue to watch and

he continues down the road to recovery.

LOL "General Chicken Hospital" .... LOL

Ok... for all of you poop experts (and I say that with utmost admiration) - when I went home Kubota had only pooped twice that I could see in my rush... one time looked grainy and dark green with plenty of white. The other was the same colors and then a pretty good bit of just watery / clearish liquid. Is this heat? Yet another problem for the poor boy? He hasn't really had anything today that would require a lot of grit I don't think.... canned cat food, raspberries, yogurt, boiled egg.. he had pellets but one time they were soaked mushy in raspberry juice and one time they were mushed in with the yogurt.

Is it possible with the fruit he may be getting extra liquids? I have noticed when I give watermelon any fruit that holds fluid they have a little extra water in their poo.
Maybe change it up and give him something a little more solid and see if that firms up his poo?

Just a thought!! Good luck!

a double dose of Kubota - in his sling, and CROWING
Thet blue beneath him is a big plastic coffee can of warm epsom salt water. He sat there quietly for about 5 minutes then started crowing, then he started flapping his wings wanting out so I set him on the ground. He stood for probably a full minute before hopping a couple of times and settling in for some grass. After a bit I used the epsom salt water to rinse his leg, put him on a clean towel in the kennel with food and fresh water. He ate pretty well again.

Busy day... I'll check in later
