Layed first eggs outside and they were soft looking and fleshy colored?

Got some oyster shell today, no sign of more eggs yet. Dr said to eggs are bad for me today, go figure.

I can't eat eggs either - white or yolk. Allergic to them and had no idea til I did a blood test a couple years ago. People think it's funny that I raise chickens for eggs I can't eat.

Got a real one! Small, brown with speckles, WAY back in the corner and not with the golf balls in the nesting box. I think I need to make me something like the golfers use to get their balls out of the drink. I am thinking a long stick and the cap of some spray paint.

They seem to lay in the afternoon, is that unusual? I left for work at 230pm and found the eggs at 1145 pm, in fact all I have gotten so far were at night or in the evening. I dont even know who is laying them. My home made egg retreiver stick works good though and didnt seem to spook them to bad when I reached in with it tonight after closing the pop door.

I think one of my hens laid an egg without a shell today.
