My hen,Banshee just laid an egg.

She has a small cold.I was wondering if my Med that only works to heal if given for six days would be ok to use just for one day?It is meant for big colds, like the bird flu, but, she only has a small cold that is really gone away.

It sounds like you are talking about an antibiotic. If so, you would be playing with fire to give her a single dose. For one, unless you know what you are treating, the antibiotic will be ineffective, even if given for the whole 6 days. Either way, by giving an antibiotic when it's not warranted, or not giving the full number of recommended treatment doses is how antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria are produced. Best to find out just what your hen has before treating her "little cold".

I do hope she gets better.
