Layer Feed for my meat birds?

I bought Scratch and Peck broiler feed for me meat birds (Red Rangers) and S & P layer for my layers. BUT I ran out of
my broiler feed and still have lots of bags for my layers. The broiler feed has a 19% protein and my layer feed has 18%. I know it has some added calcium also.

Would it be okay to feed the S&P layer 18% to my broilers? Maybe if I add some protein somehow?

Its probably not ideal, but i don't see that it would make too much difference, particularly if you are raising the meat birds for yourself, and not a business (might take a little longer to get to the desired weight).

Maybe you could see if your local store would be willing to do a swap with your layers feed for broilers?

They are just for us and possibly some friends. But I also didn't want to add a bunch of time to get them to weight. I might also try asking the stores to switch out bags. Thanks for your input!
