⠀ Layer feed

Hello! Do you feed your hens laying pellets, or laying crumbles? And why? Thanks!!

I feed mine the crumbles....when I tried to change them from the starter crumbles they never adapted, so just went back to the crumbles because my Hens said so

I use pellets, less wasteful.
I switched from crumbles to pellets by mixing 50/50 for two weeks in feeder, and mixing pellets with scratch grains 50/50 and tossing on dry ground for a couple weeks.
Chickens are suspicious of eating something new, so by mixing with familiar feed they are more likely to try it.

We just switched to crumbles for the sake of some of our smaller chickens, but I like pellets much better. There seems to be a good bit of waste when dealing with crumbles. I also like Purina Layena Plus Omega-3 which I don't think comes in a crumble.
