I ran out of grower pellets last night usually when I am about half way down I go get more but things have been pretty hectic around here and I didn't get a chance to go get more. So today I drove down to the stables where I buy my feed and they told me the only thing they had was layer left. I guess there was a an issue with the delivery and they will not be getting anything until next tuesday. His wife was not around so he could ask her if pellets would be ok until the grower gets in. Needless to say I bought a bag because I need them to eat something!!!

Will my girls be ok on layer for the next week, I plan on going right in for grower the minute he has it in, I am just worried about their nutrition at this point. please someone give me some insight on this!!!

All I know is that they are not supposed to have too much calcium too early, but I don't know if a week is too long. Do you have any chicken friends or neighbors close by with some grower feed?

that I do but they are on the same boat they pick up their feed every tuesday since that is the delivery day, but they too are stuck with layer but they already got a mix flock so they mix their layer with grower.
