Okay you more experienced goose people than I, I need your knowledge. Karessa has already laid 12 eggs and hatched out 8 babies. Babies have all been sold and gone to new homes. This morning, I find her sitting on a 6 more eggs. Is this possible? Could she have laid a second set of eggs? I know that there's been alot of active mating going on with my geese that have already had clutches. Is it possible that they're going to lay again?

It is early enough that she might "double clutch" it is rarish but it does happen. From her point of view a preditor (YOU) have grabbed all her babies. The purpose of a goose is to produce goslings to carry on her genes so she might try again rather than just mourn her losses.

Thanks goosedragon! You're the best! I love reading your posts. These one's she can keep.

Thanks I often feel bad about talking about geese like they are people, but people seem to understand better when I do.~gd
