laying age of ducks and geese

have had 3 female mallards and 2 female african geese since early may. haven't seen a egg yet. i know they don't lay as much as the days get shorter but i thought i would at least get a few a week from them anyway. anyone have experience?

We may have to wait until the end of January, when the days become significantly longer.

i figured as much. my breeds aren't great egg layers in the 1st place. had indian runners before and they're usually good layers and moms.

Geese don't usually lay their first year it's usually late winter early spring of following year.

Ducks can vary.

It is just fun to me to ask my girls about »some eggs for breakfast« and see them shy looking at each other…

My Runners were mating at 4 months and laying at 4.5 months brazen hussy’s they were to.

Usually they lay at 20-21 weeks or 4 months so they might just not lay this year cuz it is nearing winter.

Mine didn't lay until they were 7-8 months old. They'd been breeding since month 4.
