Laying age question?

So this year I switched it up and got some different breeds of chicks in April
I've had Easter eggers before but I also decided to try some black sex links.
Previously I had Barred Rocks, Rhode island reds, and Easter eggers.
I'm loving these new birds and their laying like crazy even in winter time.
So I know that my black sex links peak of laying will be in 2 years and then drop off drastically.
My question is is that two years from when they were born? Or two years from when they started Laying?
The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of getting the same breeds again next time and I want to be able to just rotate them out.
The older hens will go into a jar as canned soup once the new ones start laying.
Knowing the answer will help me decide when to get my new chicks when these ones need to be replaced.
Just for the record egg Laying is the main reason for me keeping chickens.
My secondary reason is for the compost for my garden.
And the third reason is because I like raising chickens. Watching them, feeding them, and all that.

I've never had Black sex-links. But I do have Red sex-links, Golden Comets.
They were bought as day old chicks on March 30 and are 33 months old today.
Out of 5 that made it to laying age. I have 3 left.
They started to lay at 16.5 weeks and all 5 were laying by 19 weeks.
I was getting 32/35 eggs a week till the second winter, when they slowed to around 26.
At 23 months I lost one to egg bound, she always laid eggs 70s to 80s grams and some 90s.
A second hen retired from laying at 24 months. I still have her.
A third was culled at 25 months, she was bleeding from the vent.
So I have two layers left. One is finishing a molt, hasn't laid in over a month and her comb is currently pale.
The last was still giving me 5/6 a week till 3 days ago. Maybe starting to molt? 20181212_085744.jpg .
So if Black sex-links are similar, I would say to get chicks every second spring, 2 years.
I currently have 7 Barred Rocks 19 weeks in a separate coop, 4 are squatting. 20181201_095625.jpg . GC

Thank you!
That helps a lot.
I guess I'll stick to our plans and raise new chicks every other year using their age from birth to mark two years.
My parents love the fresh eggs and so I've been giving them lots of fresh eggs (when they're not playing snowbirds for the winter).
My dad built a coop/run at their house a few years ago to experiment with raising turkeys.
He only did it the one year and this year it worked out great that we were able to raise my chickens through the summer at his place while my older layers remained at my house laying eggs.
The plan for next year is to raise a few meat birds at my parents house.
Hopefully I can talk them into meat birds every other year and egg layers in between.
I'm out of town a lot for work and my buddy and my parents help take care of my chickens while I'm gone.
It's nice to be raising chicks over there while my older birds are still laying eggs at my house.
