Laying eggs

Pellets should be the biggest part of their diet. I

Need to know the protein and calcium percentages in the pellet feed.
It's on a tag sewn into bottom of bag.

continue giving them calcium supplements in their food.
Any calcium supplementation(like oyster or egg shell) should be offered in a separate container, not mixed into feed.

New layers need a month or so to work the kinks out of the system before jumping to conclusions about needing supplements.

Yes! Sorry, I see how that was misleading.. I only use pellet feed, so I dont have much experience in the supplement area.. and thankfully i haven't needed to give my girls any emergency doses of it ;) :D

Hello, thanks for mentioning me. I agree with the first post to this thread, soft shelled eggs are perfectly normal for new layers. Sometimes a chicken will lay two eggs a day...

For this reason, were they small? I have two hens in one flock (long story) and sometimes I get three eggs a day! Normal, rare, but possible.

Also, I agree with the first post probably both are laying. Have a good day! Hope my info and experience helps. ;)
