At what age do quail start laying eggs
I've heard it's as early as 6 wks is this true

Anywhere from 5.5 weeks to 14 weeks. It depends on the season, how much light they have, and how much stress.

Ideal conditions are summer (at least 14 house of light per day), and no stress.
