Bonny has never laid in the nest box. I rarely even get her eggs because when she would lay from the roost it would break and they have been eating it. I just assumed she was laying at night from the roost.
But I just went out and caught her in the act! I plucked her off of there and put her in the nest. As she was trying to get out she laid the egg.
So why does she think the roost is for laying? Sometimes these chickens seem so dumb and stubborn!
