The first time I went to a vet with sick poults the vet prescribed metronidazole at only 5mg/kg and pyrantel pamoate! The poults got sicker, so I went back and the vet on duty upped the amount to 30mg/kg and switched the wormer to fenbendazole. Sadly both died. Had I know how safe metronidazole was, and that 5mg/kg was *way* too low a dose I might have been able to save them. Needless to say, I don't use that vet anymore.

Does anyone think that Milk Thistle might help to tip the balance? The original yellow BM kinda screamed out liver distress to me and milk thistle is safe and easy to give and its really really effective.

What is the recommended amount per Kilo? I have the 250 mg capsules.
