What is the file extension you're saving it as? It'll be .doc or .rtf or something like that. If you save it as .rtf about anything can open it. You may have to go up to "File" at the top and "export" it as a .rtf or .doc

rtf as in rich text file or format? Sometimes my students have to choose rich text format when submitting their answers on online courses. Word Pad has it but Note pad doesn't.

Ok ..finally got the document to send using Gmail and it gave me the option of using Google Docs to transfer it....whew...for now..still would like to set up outlook properly though as many documents want to use it as a way to transfer files etc
Craigslist being one of them...if you click on their link to reply to an add it brings up outlook as a way to reply? usually I just copy and paste the address into yahoo mail and go from there..maybe thats why I never get any replies?

Can you believe it folks? tonight dear Squishy was giving ME a hard time because my course is 8 weeks long (*just* to answer phones) and hers was only 6 weeks to do all the technical stuff a flight attendand has to do...humph! I know... we'll throw it in the lav and use the axe to cut a hole in the door... then stick the extinguisher nozzle through the hole to put it out from the other side... so we don't asphyxiate....

Or we could just write the fire an email from the other computer......
