I don't think australorps are as likely to go broody as other breeds. Barred rocks don't occasionally go broody, Neither do speckled sussexes.

If you are looking for a broody breed,
I would suggest Salmon Faverolles.

I don't have a rooster in that cage but I have 3 SF hens,
they all went broody, one is as we speak.
