Learning all I can about call ducks !

Pics
I waited until mine were fully feathered and out with the others -maybe 3-4 months

thanks! I accidentally (again!) bought pellets. Last time, i still had some crumbles, so i mixed them and they seemed fine with it. So i think they can eat the pellets now, and i can save the crumbles for the chicks.

:yaThanks! I don't have any Calls, just one glorious Swedish Blue name Mako (rhymes with taco) but here I am! :frow

Hey you! :frow

I don't care if you have calls or not. I'm learning about ducks in general so hack away!

Do you have other ducks too, or just the calls?

Part that sucks is Flock Raiser in pellets here is very, very rare... and then it's $5 more than the crumble per bag!

really? It's the flock raiser that i keep grabbing in pellets because it's cheaper than starter/grower. they must not even have flock raiser in crumbles though. layer is the cheapest here.

We have crumble, just don't get pellets often... except in layer... yep, that is cheaper than flock raiser, but the flock raiser pellets (when they randomly show up in stock) is always 19.99 per bag...

@room onthebroom you can hack my thread all you want I don't mind! Bring your friends! Lol

Ok, here's a classic Charlene Style hack for you;
Check out DD1's new Coturnix Quail. The one on the right is a Speckled Italian & the one on the left is a Pharaoh. Last month she lost the last of two that she'd rescued a few years ago (a Tuxedo & a Button) & she was devastated. We eventually found a breeder on here that lives about 1-1/2hrs away. We could have found one closer, but this woman REALLY loves her birds so it was well worth the mini road trip to meet her. We picked them up last Saturday. They are very happy, healthy girls & had zero transition period. They're just about 6wks old & we're blown away that one of them has already started laying.
We are loving having Quail back on the broom again! :love

Just the calls. I live in city limits so I can't get too carried away or I would have a bunch more !
