Chapter Nine and a Half
The HerdGather.
Lea was petrified. She had never seen so many horses before in her life! All different colors and kinds of horses were walking past, staring at her. She felt small and scared out next to these huge horses. The herd traveled two days to get here. They had heard about the meeting all the herds in the area had. So they left their territory two sunrises ago and finally got here. It was like they had walked forever, just to play, talk, and spar with other horses. They had stopped to rest on WindHerd's territory once to rest, but after that, they kept walking. "Lea. "Lea! Are you alive?" Feather asked. "I guess." Lea mumbled. She noticed that her mother, who usually looked not the least bit tired, was sweating. I wonder if she's ok? Lea thought. "Are you ok, Feather?" "I'm fine, sweetie. I'm fine." Feather replied. That's it! She is in foal! Lea guessed. I hope it's a filly! The herd made it's way over to the lake and started to graze.
