Does anyone have any experience using those LED light emitters that mimic "eyes" to ward off predators? Where do you get them and how difficult are they to install?

I have never heard of them, but will be interested to see if anyone knows.

In the meantime, you could try using a radio tuned to a talk station. We have had pretty good success with that,by turning it on and off every few hours throughout our waking hours up until when they go to roost, or you could put it on a timert. Our chickens are closed up in the barn at night, to protect them against the nocturnal predators. Depending on how you are set up, there's lots of things you can try as deterrents, searchable on this site.

I believe some of the hatcheries also sell the night eye type units, some people on here claim to have luck with them, I haven't used them, I suppose they could work but I don't believe anything is foolproof short of a secure coop for night time.

I use red lights to hunt at night with so I can get a better shot on a coyote or a fox the animals never see the red light most animals are color blind they see in shades of grey and green google color blindness in animals pretty interesting reading at several universities

Wow! The reviews were very positive! I love that they are solar and it's not like you are sinking a whole lot of money into the product. It's worth a try. Every little bit can help ward off those predators! Thanks so much for the link!
