If it is hot it is an infection. If she were mine I would soak a cloth in hot epsom salt water wring it out and apply it on the abcsess and wrap it with vet wrap. If shes not moving anyway she can't get it off. Change it 2 or 3x a day. It should draw it out. Some abscess take longer to run their course than you would think.. If nothing else it will make her feel better!!! An antibiotic will help push the infection out as well.. Livestock antibiotics can be used. There are all kinds at feed stores. Just read the lables if they are safe for chickens it says so.
