Leg Injury- 1 week old chick ::UPDATE::

Aww! What a lucky little doll! Glad he had you to take care of him and I'm happy to hear he is better.

DH and I were praying it wouldn't cost over $100... We were pretty worried about how much it would be, but we love our animals too much! It actually ended up being only $55, and that included the office visit.

Personally, I would do it again. This morning, Crash is able to put his foot down without any weight, which is 500% better than he was before!
I recommend talking to your vet about it. This vet is an avian specialist (although he admitted that I'm the only one that brings chickens in

) and he said it's hard for a bird to survive with one leg. I'm sure there are exceptions... But, trust me, I feel so much better knowing that little Crash is going to have a better life now.

I love happy endings.

Please post pictures of Crash as he grows up so we can see how his leg responds to treatment.
