Leg injury/limping

Can you help me with this chicken? He won't use his leg. It is not bumblefoot. What else should I look for? I have a video but am unsure how to post it.

The way his scales are raised, it could be scaly leg mites but yet that wouldn't make his feet so red. Is the bedding in the coop always dry? I ask because scalding can happen when the ammonia from the poop stays wet.

I would slather his feet with vaseline and keep him where he can't smear that everywhere. If its scaly leg mites, you'd need to do that every other day for a total of three times. If it's not, it might help his feet feel better.
