Leg mites !!!

My layer flock and turkey have leg mites I think.
What is the best way to get rid of them.

Never had them but was just reading an article that said to use linseed oil. Here is the link:

Found another one. Basically said the same thing but said to put on petroleum jelly after wiping off the linseed oil and talks about the life cycle.

Cover them with something that stops air from getting to them. Vaseline works fine. Must apply it daily for a while.

Others have used bag balm, and some other products. Don't think it matters so much, as long as it is a product that stops air flow to them.

Oh, be sure to treat the roosts, esp. if they are wood, or have little cracks and crevices.
