leg mites...

Hi, I think i have mites in my chicken's legs but im not sure, they are all feather footed breeds so i dont know if feathers were just lost (fighting/shedding) or if somthing is going on. Can anyone help me? Also, what do I do if it is leg mites?? there are no lice/flees and no signs of mites on any other part of the body... Im stumped.

Hi, if you could post a picture it might help. and you can use vaseline to treat leg mites just make sure you cover all the skin right up to body.

enter "leg mites" in the search box. That's how I found so much info here on how to treat!
Everything from vaseline on the legs to Ivomec Eprinex.
You'll want to treat them soon though. I learned that ignoring the mites causes what I think is anemia, because of couple of mine got so lethargic. They perked right up after I got the mites under control
