i just found out one of my chicks has a leg problem.i think it is dislocated at the knee it limps around i am going to seperate it wirh one other chick.culling is not a option. please help me i dont no what to do

Did this injury just happen? Or was it just getting worse from the beginning?

If you don't want to cull, then I would try a split (IF the leg is not completely broken). Keep her separated but not isolated from the others. Make sure she eats and drinks and has normal poo. Can you post a picture?

Hi, I had one (Callie) that was the smallest and was limping around something fierce. Like you culling wasnt an option. I thought for sure she wouldnt make it. We seperated her just so she could eat and get some rest. She went back in with the rest last week and is just one of the gang! A few days of rest did her good! (and i really really thought she was a gonner, she was panting all the time, couldnt walk, it was bad).

I would try to seperate her and see how she does.

Good Luck.

thanks i think i got the probem solved now.someone gave me a link to a page that showed how to use a band ade to keep the legs together and now it can walk fine.thank you for the replies i will keep you updated.
