Its my first hatch and my second chick isnt right, i know i have to splint her foot as toes are twisted; but main issue is she is sitting back on her legs rather than standing, is it splayed? Doesnt look like it as legs are under her not to sidr, im lost and very attatched to this little one already, she is apprpx 24 hrs old.

She was only looking up like that as i was tapping to get her attention.

I have a video on my phone but cant work out how to post it, sorry

Her legs may be under her rather than out to the side as the picture above shows but that, in fairness, is an extreme case. Most spraddles are just a little too wide for them to establish a proper centre of gravity so they sit on their hocks and shuffle.

A good way to tell if they are spraddled is to simply pick her up round her body and 'dangle' her legs beneath her. If they hang anywhere but straight down from the hips, they are splayed....it's often quite minor but enough to prevent walking.

As long as she seems otherwise healthy and strong, fashion a 'manacle' for her and she will soon be up on her feet. Get the 'shoes' made first to keep her toes in the right position and to give her a firm platfrom on which to stand, then add the manacle....I always use micropore tape for both jobs....a shoe made from cereal box cardboard and then the toes taped in place with micropore....and a 5mm thick strip of micropore for the manacle, wrapped round each ankle with a strip in the middle which is the right width for their legs to hang directly down from their hips in a straight line.

Personally I have had most fixed in 24 hours and never had one take more than 48 hours. Good Luck!

Ok she is tapped and booted and in a donut, oh no out the donut, back in the donut, gahhh out again, she is a terror i tell you!!
