Leg problems

I have a newly hatched chick about 24hours old. I’ve noticed it will not use one leg. The leg stays tucked close to the body. I can stretch out the other leg like the chick normally would stretch their legs. The other leg I cannot stretch straight and there feels like a small bump next to the hock. How can I help with the leg?

could it be slipped tendon?

I just posted and am having the exact same issue. I can't feel any tendons though. If you find out please post.

I looked into slipped tendon but in all the videos they can straighten the leg out. This chick’s leg won’t straighten. And I’m not trying to force it as I don’t want to break it.

Mine straightened. Is your chicks leg stuck in that position?

Can you gently rub it. To loosen the tendons

I rubbed the leg but I’m not sure it’s doing anything. It will straighten to a 90 degree and that’s it.
