Legbar 1st time owner

Hi this is my first time owning legbars. I have 2 that I bought as chicks in April. Both are supposed to be hens. One started laying at about 18 weeks. They are now 22 weeks old and the second one is still not laying. I am wondering if it is a rooster because I heard what sounded like a new rooster trying to crow. But having trouble to tell any difference between the two of them.

Please post full body pictures of each bird. A cockerel will have male specific feathering at 22 weeks.

Nope.Thats a hen.The roosters are much lighter

Nope! Definitely a pullet. Some take longer than others to mature.

She’s not yet 6 months old, so she isn’t terribly late either. By the looks of things, it shouldn’t take long

Some are harder to sex than others when hatched but yours is definitely old enough to tell the difference.She a beautiful example of the breed.A lovely pullet.
