Northwind spread his wings lightly, the red and black shimmered in the sun, he glared at hasis. "First are you for Rainea or Smokewolf?"

Hasis sat by the river and return the glance, "Well first off i'm no mean or bad creature....So if Rainea is good then I'm with Rainea." He smiled, happily.

Sylvia swooped over the vast arctic. How long had she been searching for her friend, Attollo? She'd heard rumors about another threat to Rainea but had been to distracted to listen. Her wings burned from flying so long.

Frost yawned and stretched. His feathers ruffled slightly as he gave himself a good shake. He straightened without a care in the world. If the other animals of Rainea wanted to kill themselves in another war, it was fine with him.

Haruka flapped her wings softly, gliding on a nippy arctic breeze with Dawn beside her. Being a glacier fox, the Arctic was her birthplace, and she smiled at the thought of controlling it. Haruka and Dawn were very prideful, and they believed that only two creatures could destroy them: The Smokewolf and each other. Haruka and Dawn shared a very strong bond, being sisters; Dawn was probably one of the only persons Haruka cared about, and vice versa.

Dawn sneered as she saw a black speck flying in the distance. "You got any ideas who that might be?"

"Some Rainean," Haruka rolled her eyes.

"Whaddya say we have some fun?" Dawn winked; their idea of "fun" was killing and bloodshed.

"I'd like to, but we're on a mission. Come on."

Aelil landed at the cave she normally slept in. She sat down to think about what she'd heard recently of a threat to Rainea. Obviously, she wanted to help, but what could she do. Maybe if I could find more of the Raineans...She scanned the earth below her.

Haruka and Dawn landed to rest, unknowingly by Aelil's cave. "How long we gonna stay here?" Dawn inquired.

"Not long. The Smokewolf will be ticked if we go back without a new Arctic base or one of the guardians."

Aelil straightened as she heard something like a voice. She glanced toward the foxes. Raineans, maybe? Aelil shuffled closer, peeking out from around a boulder. She didn't risk flying and alerting them she was there, though her talons made a soft scraping noise as she stepped forward.

Haruka's ears shot up. She sniffed the air, then turned to Dawn. "Do you smell something..?"

"I dunno," Dawn shrugged, "kinda hard with all this ice, but I definitely heard something."

Haruka sniffed a bit more, before her neck fur began to rise. "A Rainean," she growled. "Goodness, they keep popping up like rabbits!" Their aura was of nothing good; it was pretty clear that they were either from Thunder, wherever he was, or from the mysterious new force.
