You are right but I mean other patterns of black and white, besides ancona eggs are smaller, I am hopping for better egg laying than ancona

Leghorns aside from production whites are often not particularly impressive layers, either in egg size or quantity. I don't think you'd be gaining anything with this cross based on your stated goals.

Are these a cross? If so did you do Ancona over Leghorn or vice versa? I can’t wait to see how they come out!

How did this pan out for you? I plan to do the same this spring. I have a cream legbar roo I was thinking of playing around with as well.

I have chickens that are from a leghorn hen covered by Isbar Rooster and they lay nice a nice green egg at a leghorns frequency. This is them as chicks in the pics. Now they look like leghorns with random black spots on them.
