Help!!! I got these 3 Leghorn chicks last Tuesday (3/26/13). They are being fed Purina medicated chick starter food. I'm giving sav-a-chick electrolytes in their water. They eat and drink, but seem to be breathing fast. The 2 making the clicking sound, also have an enlarged chest (crop area) with feathers fluffed up. Do they need respiratory treatment? Their bedding is pine shavings from TSC. I have Duramycin-10 I can start them on. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I honestly don't know how to help her. However, I spoke to an avian vet a while back and she told me that clear, runny poo is urine? It was a long while back and I think that is what she had said.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge can give you some advice for her. Until then, good luck and I hope your chick gets better.

If you put your ear to her side and hear a clicking, it could possibly be a bad heart valve.

IF it IS a bad heart valve...failure to get enough oxygen in the blood.
