Leghorn, Delaware or Columbian Rock?

I got some Delawares from Ideal and they weren't great quality of course but closer than the OP pics.

Most are better than the rooster in the OP's pic, yes.

Yes I agree with ya, but I googled Delaware/ New Hamp cross and the desciption matched to the tee even the black tail feathers rather than the bars. But that was from cackle but I think she said that she got hers from the feed store, but she thought it was Ideal, the feed stores all get their chicks from Cackle around here (Il.) anyway. No disrespect meant , just my thought. Sandy

Also they did call them Indian Rivers , just using the NH instead of the Columbian Rocks ?

To clarify, no one really admitted to using Columbian Rocks, other than the old Welp ad way back when. It was just something I believe was done when Delawares were endangered. The problem came when no one culled for type and the Delaware type and good color was lost. The Indian River was the original Delaware name when they were created back in the 40's and Cackle revived that for their Del x NH.

I spoke to the feed store and they said they get their stock from Ideal. I emailed Ideal pictures to ask them what they could be. The Pullet is laying a brown eggs she just started laying. Here is a picture of the eggs she has laid the last 2 days.

ETA: I was really hoping the feed store had gotten them from Cackle because than the mystery would have been solved.

I finally heard back fron Ideal today and here is their email:

Michele –

It appears you have a either a Red Sex Link Male or a Delaware male and Delaware Female. We hope this information helps. Thank you.

If these chicks were sex links wouldn't the males looked different from the female when they were chicks?

I don't know how any self respecting hatchery that has been in business as long as Ideal has can call that a Delaware male. Dellie males have both barred hackles and barred tails. That boy has neither.

That's much worse than the Easter Eggers passed off as Ameraucanas, IMO.
