Welcome leghorn lovers, to the leghorn lover thread!!! Sadly I have recently lost my two beautiful ladies to a raccoon. But I still have pictures!

Here one of the girls is on the perch:

Post your pictures!!! And share the love of leghorns!!!

I will have to work on getting you a photo, but I adore my Leghorn, Shelley. I have a varied small flock of 5, and she is my favorite. She was the first to show interest in me and is so sweet, feathers super soft. Only 9 weeks old, but a lot of character. I have heard the breed can be flighty, but she is no more than the rest of them which are Barred Rock (also wonderful), Speckled Sussex and Wyandotte. They give me a lot of smiles and I hope we have many years together. I bought them for eggs, but if they didn't lay one nugget i wouldn't trade for nothing. Love, love, love my Shelley and her "sisters"

I love Leghorns. I have had several in the past. None at present, but I plan on adding one soon from somewhere.
I love that they are so independent. I see their attitude as saying, 'Thanks for the food, but really I can make it by myself'.
They don't pick fights and they avoid those that try. Not a cuddly bird, but don't freak out when they see you.
Such dependable layers of those gorgeous white eggs. They just never quit all year around. You don't have to worry
about them going broody. And, I never saw one go through a hard molt.
I agree with the above poster - the EE's are much more flighty.

I love leghorn,i have 3 , one white and two silvers, i just lost another one a few days ago she was 4 years old,but i have still this one she is gonna be 11 years old in march
