Leghorn rooster or hen

I got 10 leghorns from rural king I think the one circled is a rooster. If you had to guess how old are they. I got 6 black sex link and 6 whydot chicks that are 8 weeks old outside with the adult hens. They are very feathered out for how small they are is that normal for them.

Agreed. Far to young. Weird how the pic didn't show up at first.
What throws me off is that we had an amberlink rooster last year and it feathered out a lot slower than the hens did at around the same stage that these are in. I was a rural king and they were 25 cents and I could pass that up.

I believe amberlinks are actually bred for that. They’re a hybrid between a fast-feathering and slow-feathering breed. It’s unlikely that they specifically bred fast-feathering and slow-feathering leghorns together, though I suppose it could randomly happen.
