Leghorn Thread!!!

"You Americans"? Where you from?

OK sorry. I am proud to live in USA already 17 years. I am citizen and here is home for me.I feel American in many ways. Originally I am from Bulgaria - Europe, so I was thinking if I say "we perfected Leghorns", somehow will give me credit I do not deserve . My English is still not perfect, but i am sure that you understand me the right way.

Bred this barred boy back to black hen and got the black cockerel and 2 black girls. 2019 I am going to breed the black boy back to barred and white hens. There is one blue barred hen, so I am hoping to get some blue leghorns.
Other project I am starting is Birchen Leghorns. I have one birchen half leghorn girl to start with.
Seems like I am very busy, but actually not so much. But for sure am having fun.And I am not hurrying at all, no matter that the white tail feathers are driving me crazy. I call them 10 years projects.[/QUOTE]

The topline on your barred boy is beautiful. A very desirable sweep indeed.

I enjoyed reading that you started with chickens at age 4, ve. I think when a lot of breeders come in contact with birds it is something that stays with them for the rest of their lives. It was nice to see your passion started early. It would be really neat if there was some early photos of you and your chickens you started with. I would of liked to have had some of me and the different birds I had when I was young.

Lol. Where's the love for the The Moonshiner?
All the nice comments for ve (which I agree completely with) then its like hey Moonshiner, show some pics.
I have some pics on a few threads included my own. Not sure what there is as far as buffs though.
Anyways I'm photography equipment challenged at the time. As soon as I can borrow a phone I'll get some.

Lol sorry Moonshiner . I enjoyed seeing two of your Buff males. The one on the right has a nice full tail.

We love you Moonshiner (and we like the idea of your username also). I wish we had more Leghorn people like you. Everybody is talking Silkies those days.

Sorry JD, I do not have any childhood pictures of our chickens, but I have picture of my last rooster back home. When I came to USA, I left it with my father ( and he did not like chickens). He was saying that once I take the plane, roo will be soup. This picture he send me 2 years later to show me how nice care he takes of my last chickens. Sorry for the quality, but is picture of picture.

I was just messing around but now I'm curious. I don't know JD but I see you're from Missouri.
Haven't seen the YouTube videos so yes I think pics are in order.
JD do you show buffs or any leghorns?
