Leghorns?

Alright, so I had gotten some mail order chicks, (gosh it feels weird to say that) and we had gotten about 6 packing peanuts. (Extra chicks that we did not order, usually make and they were.) We don't have enough hens for 12 roosters 6 of which are "leghorns", so we put them in a separate pen and are going to process them for the soup pot. However I am noticing that these foghorns have red shoulders. Is that normal in this breed? Or are these a different breed? I thought Foghorns were all white? At least from the hatchery they came from. Are these a mixed breed? Earlier I ordered yokohamas but canceled I know they have a different comb but still I am a new chicken owner and need confirmation that these are not yokohamas.

Not the exact same breed, but the coloring looks like they could be Ambers too. Amber Sexlink it is!
This is what the hatchery said when I asked " Yes, I believe so. Amber stars should be that color. They will look like a male Red Star - -but female -- since they are the inverse parent stock."

So does...that mean they are female? How can that be?
