Leghorns

[Choco Maran]

Can any one out there enlighten me on leghorns.

I received five from McMurray for free so I know nothing about them.
Are they mean?

I had to separate them from the rest of the flock as they have killed five of the chicks

and injuried three more. They are all the same age and all come together at the same time. Any information would be great Thank You.

I have only had a few - I raise mainly brown egg laying breeds. They seemed to be noisy and spooky and kind of loners. They didn't see to like or be liked by the other birds but I didn't see aggression from or toward them.

I have all brown and colored layers also this is why I asked for the help. I will check out the link.

I have a couple white leghorns in my mixed flock. They are not any meaner than any of the other hens. The leghorns & one of my sexlinks think they run the show but they are just as social as the rest. Sorry for your loss - its never easy especially when its within the flock & not a predator
