Well the hatch is over and I have three little cochins.

If not for Lynne's help when I called her frantic about a chick, I would only have two. They are vigorous and pretty. At this time they appear to be one big fuzzy black and two dainty blues (maybe lemon blue) One still has two shell fragments stuck to his back from his ordeal. I will try to remove it later when he has time to adjust to life. I will take photos tomorrow and try to get them on here. I stayed up all night last night to monitor the hatching and was exhausted today so no photo shoot.

I look forward to thoroughly spoiling these babies that are right here beside me when i am at the computer. I hope they all look like their Mom and Dad.

Thanks Lynne for your invaluable support and help and thanks to all for their good wishes on the hatch.

I'm working on the fall list now, however if things still look good in the next few weeks, would you like them sooner?

Hi Lynne- I have been wanting to post pictures but I am having a hard time finding the time to sit down and do it. Anyway, I will try to do it later. The babies are doing great!!!! They are growing like weeds. They love their new home. They have grass and dirt to run and play in. They also tried yogurt yesterday. They loved it! Oh we named them too. I will post their names when I post pictures. So you can see which one is which. They are so cute. I love them so much. And the kids love them too. They are always in the coop petting and playing around them. They are great chickens , Thank you again.
Also, Yes to the fall egg list question. If you have eggs for us, we would love to come pick them up whenever they are ready for us. The sooner the better. I would love to hatch more of these beauties! Just let us know~ Thanks Tacey

Their names are Verbena ( blue pullet), Meringue (buff pullet), and lil' boy blu. I tried to name them with either lemon related names or blue related.

They are all trying to take a dust bath in the same hole at the same time. I will post some more with better body shots. Oh, I thought you might like to see my new finished coop. I have been working on it for a while. It is almost completely done. Just a couple things here and there to finish. What do you think?

here I am painting the white on everything. Boy, painting a coop is hard work. I will definately do it different next time. Paint first, then put up the wire!

Tacey, that's AWESOME! The coop, that is! And your babies are perfect!! You'll have to do updated pictures. I LOVE cochins, and can't get enough of seeing the Lemon Blue ones!
