I know! You can see the difference in the cushion- but they both (the 50% and 100%) have that nice fluff underneath. Beautiful! (picturing them with beards- my dream chicken)

Of course Joy. I am hoping this years girls are as good since they are 3/4. I could kick myself for selling that boy in the background in the pen behind them. He was not nice though personality wise. He was huge. DH loved him. I can't say I have'nt made mistakes. Mostly due to not enough housing. I just can't keep them all.

Do you have any blacks? Or do you just keep the blues? They are soooo lovely!

So- has anyone actually gone to the UK? Or was it all over the net & paperwork?
I'm saving to go to Ireland. I wonder if I found someone ahead of time with nice birds..... DH would probably kill me if we made it a chicken trip

nice birds, don't get me wrong i have some English orps to.. I will wait till some of the girls molt out, they are blacks though and not as pretty right now from the roo treading a bit to hard on them, got saddles on them but somewhat bald underneath, i will post photos as well soon. however i do prefer the American type myself.. some of our lavenders have been bread with these English type to, should be some good specimens in our newest hatchlings....
