In December my hubby bought me a dozen hatching eggs off Ebay. They are supposed to be Lemons. Out of the dozen we hatched 5. 3 boys and 2 girls. I rehomed the boys to a friend that wanted them as I had too many Roosters at the time to keep them. These girls are the sweetest friendliest chickens I have ever had. I dont know if its cause I kept them in the house til March or the breed but they want to be picked up and held all the time. They have just in the last month started to lay and they lay a nice large tan egg. This is one of my babies Honey. She is such a ham. She didnt want any of the other chickens getting their pictures taken she kept being a camera hog

Do you mean lemon cuckoo? If so, the hens will likely look solid yellow and the boys should be slightly "barred." But your Honey is a sweetie! Orpingtons are known to be a calm and friendly breed. If they aren't, no amount of handling will "make" them nice.

Not solid yellow, you cant hide barring, but as the pics shows they will have a faint barring...

Ok true barred the hens do have slight barring. To some they look almost solid. Just trying to simplify.
