Okay!! Thanks!! And the mealworms that I got for my leopard gecko were only like 1 centimeter long, so I don't know if that's considered "large," for leos, but I gave them some of the mealworms that were like half a centimeter and it was SO funny to see them take it and then run like crazy around the brooder so that the other chicks wouldn't take it from them. The chick that had the mealworm would run around an extra lap sometimes and chirp very loudly, almost like she wanted to say, "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-!! I have the treat and YOU don't!!" And it was even MORE hilarious when my chick, Angel, with the treat would be running and then another chick, Anna, that was just standing there as Angel ran past, with the worm in her mouth, and Anna would just randomly peck out and BOOM...now Anna has the treat!!! The look on Angel's face was PRICELESS!! I think she realized that she should've done more eating, and less gloating! She is a cutie! They are cool little guys for sureI just pick out a few of the tiniest meal worms for the babies at first, but they like the freeze dried ones too .I fill a clean kitty litter pan with dusty dirt from my greenhouse and they pick through that a lot...probably some tiny bugs and grit in there too. Other than that they get a little scrambled egg, lettuce, grass clumps with dirt, bits of apple and cukes, and whatever I have in the veggie bin. And they love bits of left over steak!
