My 'bator was running as Hurricane Sandy came ashore and passed to our Northeast.
The electricity stayed on, but the wafer in my thermostat gave me fits. It seems that as the barometric pressure dropped, the wafer expanded and completed the circuit. Luckily, I was suspicious of something happening, and was able to tweak the wafer during this event.
But now I know that the severe changes in barometric pressure that accompany storm events can affect my incubator temperature.
Just an FYI.

I have heard this before. Good thing you were able to catch it before anything bad happened.
