How big is he now? It is always so hard to tell in a photo.

Missprissy, he is about 8-1/2 lbs now. but i beleive he will put another 1~lb at the least on yet.
He is about the average height of our buff orps, but a little broader in his chest..

Really a overall handsom looking Roo. He is a bit cocky compared to the buff orp Roo's.

We are hoping the hens personality rubs off on the chicks.. :aww

Thanks ..I'll take all the good luck wishes I can get with this project. It is really important to me. He is a handsome boy, but as Charlie said, has a bit of an attitude. He is filling out nicely. Nice broad back and lots of fluff, which is a great start for lav orp body shape. I know we'll have a long road ahead and it will be an interesting journey. I can't wait until his first offspring hatch. We will work on these guys pretty much year round to keep it moving along.
