I have two gold laced wyandottes from Tractor supply that were labeled premium pullets. They are now 11 weeks old and still I am uncertain of gender.
The darker one (Clyde) spars and stares down with my brahma cockerel every single day. Clyde pecks and chases the pullets, grabs back feathers of one pullet in particular; has always been very aggressive young bird. Clyde has no comb that I can tell.
The mostly gold one (Bonnie) is more tolerant of others but also chases lower rank pullets and pecks. Bonnie spars with a small cockerel on occasion. She/he has more pink/red comb, but no where near the red of the known cockerels of same age.
