Love this! we to have a blind hen ,when we noticed I was worried I'd have to cull her .she's one of my fav and an EE ,she just went blind one day .she's only 8 mo old so I started watching her ,would she be ok ,would the other hens pick on her ,would the Roos be mean?first I noticed she doesn't go out of the hen house much just to eat drink and once in a while explore the outside of the run(we free range) but I also noticed the hens pecking at her! So I really started watching and they only pecked at her if she explored to far from the coup run,h or to close to the door to out side .they where watching out for her ! the Roos don't bother her much, and when they do they are easy on her. she knows where everything in the coup is and has a nesting box to sleep in ,lays an egg a day everyday and the coup is big enuff she can move around .blindness is not always the end of the line I'm very happy to say
