The funny thing about that "little" black orp hen is that she's a point of lay pullet and she's bigger than some layer hens I have of other breeds. In fact, she's bigger than the two white orp hens I have and two weeks younger! The blacks are simply enormous! My black orp roo is actually about 7 months old and he's bigger than my mature buff orp and speckled sussex roos! We weighed him a couple weeks ago and he is about 8 pounds already!
