Okay, so here's my update for the day. An acquaintance I met at the pub in the next town invited me to a party a couple of weeks ago, and I totally forgot about it until she called me tonight to remind me that it's tomorrow. It's a two-part thing: first it's a "Tastefully Simple" party, which I guess is pre-made foods and gifts, that type of stuff. Then the second part is an "adult" thing, I'll leave it at that. I NEVER go to these types of things, but I figured I'd force myself to go and be social and try to have fun. Anyone ever been to these types of parties? Obviously we can't discuss the latter part of the party here, but what about the Tastefully Simple thing? Anyone know the products? What do they do, just sit around and buy stuff and eat food? I'm not sure what to expect.

Looks like all the other "Easy Cook" type products from just a glance. Ones I've seen charge out the NOSE for a simple packet of seasonings... most of which is gross stuff like fake bacon bits. Haven't been to one of those parties, just see the stuff in the shops.

On the other... can't say as I'm all that upset to have missed that boat. I am perfectly capable of finding those types of things without an audience should I wish too. I've YET to wrap my head around why you'd want to do that with a bunch of strangers, or worse, a bunch of your friend's gossipy friends. There's enough drama in life without fanning the flames. Besides, online is cheaper.
