I have 8 chicks that are about 4-5 weeks old and they're getting way too big and too restless to be in their brooding pen much longer. I live in MO, and the weather here has been crazy fluctuations nights as low as 30s, days as high as 70s. Here's a link to our 7 day forecast: http://www.kmbc.com/weather/forecast

I want to let the chickies outside so bad, but I don't know if it's too cold for them? This week should be highs around 50-55, lows into the low 40s. I'd been putting them in the run on nice days then bringing them inside at night, but soon they'll need to stay out overnight. So should I think about letting them out full time?

btw, I realize I'm probably over thinking it, and this is not my first flock LOL

thanks!

My 6 week old chicks are outside now, I am also in Missouri, I did bring them in when we had that tornado a few days ago, but beyond that it hasn't been too cold for them here.
