Hi everyone,

Earlier today my family and I saw two baby chicks around our yard with no mother chicken just a rooster nearby. We decided to leave them alone and see if they would just wander away or if the mother would come back. 10 hours later they were still there but the rooster was long gone. One of the babies wasn't moving, just lying still right where someone could just walk on him. So we put him in a box and brought him inside. On the way in we saw his brother huddling in a corner so we took him in too so they wouldn't be alone. When we got him inside we realized the lethargic one, who was laying still, had diarrhea that is white. Other than that he isn't eating or drinking. That other chick escaped the box he was in and disappeared so now the sick chick is alone. Anyone have any ideas on how to help?

Hello :) Here is a link to some pics of Poo :) (yep one exist for chickens) Its pretty helpful and may help you find your answer.

I would keep the remaining chick in a safe warm spot and offer food and water. If you can add some electrolytes to the water. Like Sav-a-Chic!

Its hard to say what the problem is when you dont know a lot of information. Could be overheating, they ate something that wasnt good for them, could be an illness. Do you know how old they are??
